Minutes of the previous meeting were read and accepted.
Bid opening: 2013 MassWorks Infrastructure Program - Resurfacing of Route 57/New Boston Road and West Granville Road
1 bid received from Lane Construction in the amount of $885,801
Alternates $ 84,050

The bid package will be reviewed by Foresight and a recommendation will be given to the Selectboard.
The Tolland Volunteer Fire Department received a donation of horseshoe equipment and would like to install a horseshoe pit at the Public Safety Complex. Eric and Steve approved Tom abstained.
The Board of Selectmen discussed the purchase of 72 acres of Map 410 Lot 2 (Bonadies Field) with property owner Whitney Bonadies. The Selectmen offered Whitney the assessed value of the 72 acres ($162,400) and explained that the property would have to be surveyed at her expense, an easement would be granted for the current septic field until ownership of property transferred and that all taxes would be paid current at the time of closing. Also, explained was the process that the town has to follow in order to take ownership. Whitney stated that she would contact the board in a few days with a response to the offer.
Ed is working on a bid package for the Colebrook River Road paving project and is working towards a bid opening date of July 14th.
Joanne Duval (phone) stated that the Transfer Station renovations are on hold until a firm contract can be agreed upon.
